Hey Tom, I'm Chris Phillips and my wife and me are arriving on the 14th and staying overnight at the Park Inn near the Heathrow airport, on same road as the Radison. This will be my first England hunt though I have been detecting for about 20 years, mainly relic hunting but do all other facets of detecting except gold prospecting and would do that if I had the time. Wife is a very hardy woman and will be with me in fields but will not detect. She will take a LOT of pics! How mineralized is the soil there and how trashy is it typically? I'm bringing a new Makro Multi Kruzer and a AT Pro as a backup. Trying to get an idea how I should set up my machine for those fields. We are staying at the Premier Inn in Colchester because the full board was already full. Look forward to seeing you.
Sounds like you did pretty darn good!!!! You got gold!!! I like your comment about a herd of people That's funny! Let us know how you make out with the new program. I have been afraid to try it. Stay well. Christy
So good to hear from you Tom!!!! I do use the Deus but I only have version 3 without the HD coil. I decided against it from what I had heard. I do have several different programs in my Deus to use in England that were given to me by Sal, Cal George and Ron but after trying all of them I went back to using Dues fast on trashier fields and GM power for quieter fields. These programs were designed for the machine and seem to work for me the best. I'm sorry if I'm not much help How was Norfolk? Did you find much? Would you go back? I said hi to Dennis & he said too that we would both love to hunt with you again. Take care and good luck with your new machine!
Sorry Tom. Just noticed my message box was full. I have cleaned it out now. Rob
Welcome aboard Tom.
